Leadership Descriptions: Public Relations Committee

This Committee, under the direction of the Committee Chair, is responsible for all communications and the development and production of all publications and public relations materials for the organization.

Responsibilities include:

Communications:

  • Maintain communication with State and Territorial organizations, both those that are in existence and those that are forming;
  • Maintain communication with various organizations as deemed necessary by the Executive Board and or Executive Council; and
  • Serve as moderator for both internal listservs and the National listserv.

Web:

  • Either production and maintenance of the NCSC web site or supervision of the outsourcing of the web site; and
  • Maintenance of the NCSC Resource Bank.

Collegian:

  • Planning and coordinating the Collegian schedule;
  • Soliciting, editing, and arranging articles;
  • Making arrangements for layout, publication, and distribution; and
  • Working with the National office staff to solicit advertisements.

Prepare Marketing materials:

  • NCSC brochure;
  • Membership cards, posters, certificates;
  • Sample materials for regional activities, as deemed prudent; and
  • Other materials as deemed necessary by the Executive Board.

Prepare and distribute press releases and marketing materials in a timely manner:

  • Including publicizing program and other items deemed necessary by the Executive Board.

Assist in conference planning as necessary:

  • Registration materials for conference;
  • Binders for conference; and
  • Other materials as deemed necessary by the Executive Board or Host Team.
