Workshops

Workshops featured during conference this year include Fundamentals of Effective Leadership, Defining Your Leadership Style, How is God the Center of Your Leadership?, Leadership Burnout and Retention… just to name a few.  The workshops are presented by a variety of professionals and leaders in the campus ministry field.  Through workshops, an understanding of leadership and fundamentals can be learned to run a great campus ministry.

Social Justice Panel

The social justice panel will be local leaders from social justice organizations discussing the purpose and seven themes of Catholic Social Teaching.  This interactive panel will allow students and participants alike to get a more in-depth look that local leaders play in the Catholic Social Teaching.

Regional OlympicsRegional Olympics

Regional Olympics is a great tradition at conference and allows each region to have some friendly competition to find out who brought their best in both the mental and physical realms.  Consisting of a variety of games from trivia to synchronized air swimming, to relays… this fun-filled competition is an EXCELLENT time!!!

Join in as our four regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, and West) compete in fun games.  Wear your regional color to support your team!

South: Green
Midwest: Blue
West: Yellow

Commissioning Mass, Banquet & New Year’s Eve Dance

Dress to impress as conference is ended and the New Year is started with the Commissioning Mass, Banquet and New Year’s Eve Dance (celebrated in every time zone).  The Mass brings in the new national team as they assume their position for the upcoming year and allows us to celebrate Mass to bring in the New Year.  It is followed by an exquisite dinner and concludes with dancing the night away.  This formal evening is the perfect way to celebrate the conclusion of a great conference and a great New Year!

The National Catholic Student Coalition presents up to three awards at the annual leadership conference to deserving students and campus ministers.  Nomination forms for the 2010 NCSC Awards are now available.

Pennies for Peace

NCSC Conference

Each conference, the four regions face off in a penny war with all proceeds benefiting a special cause relating to the conference theme.

How to Collect Pennies

You may fundraise the money in any number of ways, including:

  • Placing a jug outside of mass
  • Car wash
  • Bake sale
  • Asking friends, family for contributions
  • Hosting competitions between different masses at your local campus ministry
  • Be creative!

How the Contest Works

Pennies = Positive Points for your region. Dollars or other coins = Negative Points for other regions! If you collect pennies on campus prior to conference, you may convert it to a check for easy travel. This check will be counted as “pennies.” Please make checks out to the NCSC.

Prayer and Sacraments

Praise and worship will be held on the first night and will feature a variety of songs from the modern and traditional artists.  In addition, each morning will start with an optional confession and daily Mass.  Each day will start with morning prayer.
